Recommendation for bottles to top up 1 week old with

I am having to top up my one week old DD with EBM for various reasons (learning to bf again after being on bottles for 48 hours, get her weight back up etc) and wondered if anybody had a recommendation for a great bottle/teat that seemed to avoid nipple confusion? I am using Nuke latex orthodontic teats as the silicone Avent ones were too difficult for her to use (my breast is nothing like them!) but I sense this is hindering the breastfeeding slightly and would like nothing more than to feel as if it is really established. Not least so I am in a position to get more mobile when my OH returns to work next week and I have three other DC to look after.

Alternatively, would cup or syringe feeding be recommended? I have done the former with DD2 but admittedly found it a real faff and was never convinced it got adequate milk in (more on) her.

Thanks for and replies.

I found the playtex bottles were fab for that. Got my little mucker back on the breast after two weeks of avent/refusal. Good luck!

Thanks wwm. I used those with DD1 when she was six weeks and bigger - can they be adapted for the smaller amount a newborn needs as they just come in one size don't they? I will have to buy more as the last lot have gone AWOL.

They have modified the shape of the bottle and teat a bit, since I used them, but I used to just put whatever amount was needed (2/4oz) and squished the bag up as per usual until milk squirted a bit.

wwm - Thanks. Armed with a new playtex bottle, liners and latex teats. Thankfully, she seems to be generally satiated by the breast now and is feeding well - hurray!
