Successfully breastfeeding with one boob - possible?

I am currently breastfeeding my 6 week old son with one boob. Has anyone else on here managed feeding with only one boob? If so, how long til demand outstripped supply and you had to introduce formula feeds?
Everything is going well at the moment - he's gaining loads of weight - and apart from being very lopsided I'm not that concerned. Just after some experiences and tips.

I have a friend who has fed her now 3 year old DS that way almost from birth with no problems. Demand will not outstrip supply because your boob will respond to the fact that your son is constantly feeding from it, in the same way that your other boob will stop producing milk because he is not feeding from that. Even the lopsidedness may go. Just think - if you had twins both your breasts would be producing the amount your one breast does IYSIM?

I also have a friend who did this. She stopped breastfeeding after 1 year as her lo kept trying to pull up her top for a feed! Can't remember when she weaned, but it wasn't due to poor supply. She didn't use formula. Also don't recall she was lopsided. I only knew she fed off one side because she told me. (ie it may go!)

Most women can happily feed on one breast only - the human body can produce enough on one side as long as the stimulation is maintained (ie by feeding the baby often). Mothers of twins average one breast per baby, anyway I have known several women feed on one side only, for various reasons.

The lopsidedness goes in time. The non-used side dries up, too.

I totally get the twins idea, just I guess it amazes me that our bodies can actually do all this.
I do occasionally offer the other boob but he uses it like a dummy instead of a feed and falls asleep! Then if I swap him over he'll go like the clappers!
At the moment my big boob is about 3-4 times the size of the other one (yes really!) and the only things that are tricky are trying to find a bra that will accommodate both! We have a wedding in about 6 weeks, perhaps they'll have sorted themselves out by then.
Thanks for your responses.

The wedding was more in reference to what on earth I can wear when I have a mountain on one side of my body.

My godmother's sis-in-law did for a year. No supplementation ever needed. It was her cultural norm, apparently.

Wow!
Tiktok - by feeding the baby often, do you mean that I'll still be bfing every 1-2 hours in 6 months time? Please say no!

I fed on one side only and it was same as other mums in my breast feeding groups [regarding how often feeding etc].

One boob feeding Mums rock!
