I've got to go to South Kensington tomorrow, can anyone think of anywhere I can pop in to breastfeed for half an hour?? My mind is blank!

I'd recommend Bliss or Ben's Cookies

I don't know it all that well - would any of the museums have feeding rooms or is that a bit random (I'm assuming you're looking for a feeding room?)?

berri · 02/04/2009 09:32

Yes - I don't know it very well either! Museums are a good thought though....I am going to be near South Ken Tube station.

Actually, last time I was in the science museum, someone was feeding just outside the cloakroom under one of those apron things, so presumably they don't have one. Googling suggests the nearest place is Peter Jones in Sloane Square, unless anyone has any better suggestions - sorry.

Trinityrhino · 02/04/2009 09:41

they may have one
some people just dont feel the need to go in them

Anglepoise · 02/04/2009 09:42

There's a list of baby shops here - maybe give some a all?

Anglepoise · 02/04/2009 09:45

True Trinity, but the fact she was using an apron thing suggested to me that she wasn't comfy feeding in public. Nowt on their website unless you can use a first aid room

Should have been call not all in my last post!

If it's nice there's Hyde Park, or I might choose the pancake place near the station (if it's still there) .

mrsgboring · 02/04/2009 09:49

I was told by a member of staff there was a feeding room at Natural History Museum - was sat on the floor feeding an 18 mo on a Bank Holiday [why why why did I go there? emoticon]

The woman was very nice, wasn't objecting to my feeding on the floor at all. But I was feeding because DS was reacting in terror to the stuffed animals so I didn't move to try out the room.

V&A is usually much quieter and they seem to have a lot of chairs. Also usually no queue for the loos.

Great, thanks for these suggestions. Anglepoise, where is Bliss/Ben's Cookies?

pain quotidien would be my suggestion, nice and comfy

Anglepoise · 02/04/2009 10:26

Ben's Cookies is next to the station, in that little parade of shops outside - though actually there may not be many seats in there. There is a nice cafe a door or two down though (or was a year ago when I was last there). Bliss is here - bit of a flippant (and expensive) suggestion I'm afraid but mmm the thought of a foot massage while having a feed ...

berri · 02/04/2009 14:36

Oooh tempting!! I think I'd be asleep in 5 minutes!

Babyphat, is pain quotidien near the tube?
