Breastfed baby/refuses bottle, how to approach starting solids?

Hello

It's time to get ready to start my baby daughter (5months old) on solids. As she has always refused a bottle, should I start to introduce a cup now and ditch the bottle idea altogether? If so, what type of cup do you recommend?
Also I'd appreciate any recommendations on what utensils/etc I need to invest in! I've never even had to buy a steriliser due to afore-mentioned bottle rejection, so I am starting from scratch.

Thanks

You can go straight to a cup, the Tommee Tippe free-flow are good.

Have you heard about baby led weaning?. Utensils required are highchair, splashmat and mop (or labrador). You certainly don't need a steriliser, special ice-cube trays, blender etc.

Have fun! (sorry for brief reply, breastfeeding wriggly toddler!)

Doidy cup. Don't buy anything else except a high chair and maybe a couple of small plastic spoons. Offer bits of your food as is - no need for pureeing.
