lasinoh

littleducks · 27/03/2009 20:37

oops missed the other questions, £10 (lasted me two babies and stil most of a tube left)

superdrug, boots etc (sometimes behind pharmacy counter due to price not ingrediants)

Hi, I used LANSINOH. I cant remember where I got it tho, could have been boots or mothecare, was expensive £10 for a small tube but so worth it. The good thing is you dont have to wash it off when breastfeeding! Just double check tho!

Maria2007 · 27/03/2009 20:41

I agree, I found lansinoh fine, it really worked well for me.

oopsacoconut · 27/03/2009 20:42

Lansinoh is fab - you only need a little I am still on my first tube and DD is 6 months. it was £10 from Boots.

kalo12 · 27/03/2009 20:43

defo lansinoh

Blarbie · 27/03/2009 20:44

boob milk, vaseline.

MinkyBorage · 27/03/2009 20:45

lansinoh

NorktasticNinja · 27/03/2009 20:46

Rubbing in a few drops of milk after each feed and lasinoh.

mumny · 27/03/2009 20:53

B/Milk and air exposure worked for me, I could never use any cream as I was in the early stages always feeding DS.

Another vote for Lansinoh! My best friend gave me a tube when I was pregnant and said she'd never have survived without it - best present I got!

gigglewitch · 27/03/2009 20:58

lansinoh or camillosan
both fantastic imo.

andiem · 27/03/2009 21:02

lansinoh and if they are really cracked and sore jelonet dressings you can get from the chemist
whatever you do don't let them dry out woulds need to be moist to heal info here

Blarbie · 27/03/2009 21:14

Apparently cabbage leaves are good...

sazlocks · 27/03/2009 21:24

you can also get lansinoh in sainsbos too.
I found that using that and leaving my nipples open to the fresh air helped. For those times when you have to cover up then a tea strainer over your nipple to stop any material touching it and making it more sore helps too.
oh the glamour

lilymolly · 27/03/2009 21:27

Lansinoh all the time

meltedmarsbars · 27/03/2009 21:29

When mine got REALLY bad I resorted to nipple shields for a while.

(ducks to avoid Mnetters stern looks)

Grendle · 27/03/2009 21:51

Jelonet -it's quite cheap and chemists sell it. It's a similar consistency to lansinoh, but spread over a gauze so it also stops breastpad sticking to sore bit of nipple.

Vaseline is also good and a lot cheaper than lansinoh. You only need to use the tiniest smear of either and wipe away excess before next feed, or it can actually be slippery and difficult for baby to stay well attached.

If you have sore nipples, you need to talk to a bf expert about breastfeeding. Nipple cream does not address the cause.

jelliebelly · 27/03/2009 21:56

Lansinoh - on the nipple and on a breast pad esp if nipples are bleeding (like mine did for the first couple of weeks - ouch!)

from Boots/Tesco/Mothercare etc about £10 a tube but lasts ages. don't have to wash off before feeding either

flockwallpaper · 27/03/2009 22:05

Another vote for lansinoh. It's good for chapped lips too!

Montifer · 30/03/2009 22:18

Lansinoh is great (my GP prescribed it for me)
