close sling for breastfeeding?

Hello. I am desperate to get a good sling for breastfeeding as I have a toddler too but want BF to work.

I am looking at the close and have tried one on at the baby show. They look fab but they are about £50?? Seems loads for a bit of material? Does anybody know where I can get one cheaper?

If anybody has any experience of BF in a close then I would be very grateful!

The Moby Wrap is £32.50 from Sasa Slings - I used this for my DD for her first 6 months - very comfortable (much more comfortable than the Baby Bjorn). It's just a big bit of material - no hoops, links, velcro or anything. But just the right stretchy-ness, and infitnitely adjustable.

I didn't actually breastfeed in it, but the bumf which comes with it says you can.

I do have a ring sling that says you can BF in it but I didn't get it with DD and didn't really use it. I wasn't determinded enough though as I didn't have another baby to sort out.

I've BFd in my Kozy, but think it was a similar price from bigmamaslings - not cheap!

i've bf'd in a close waiting for the bus, and on the bus, and off at the other end

i think the combination of a stretchy wrap and rings, for tweakage, make it a v good carrier for bf.

robber - was it a toddler you were feeding in the kozy? can't imagine how it would work with a newborn.

She was about 4 months when I first tried it, but I think you could do it from birth - there's loads of info on the website.

I had her in front, upright, and just a bit lower than if I was carrying her normally. Was totally discreet, was out for a walk at the time with DH's family.

I fed dd pretty easily in an Ergo from a few weeks old until there were long enough gaps between feeds to be able to do things without having a baby attached! They're fairly pricey new, but can be used for a long time and have a very good re-sale value on e-bay.
