Kensington breastfeeding chair - any good???

Hello, has anyone used the Kensington breastfeeding chair - here - ???

I have back problems (I fractured one of my vertebra snowboarding last year) and am looking for a chair with good lumbar support as I will be spending so much time sitting when this baby comes along...

Or if the Kensington chair is no good, any suggestions for other chairs??

Thanks so much

Thanks kazbeth, that does help - I was looking at the glider/rocking nursing chairs and thought they probably didn't look that supportive...

I had a glider, which was absloutely rubbish. For dd I got one of these chairs and I must say I really liked it. I needed a pillow behind my upper back and I still needed something under my feet, but I had it in my bedroom and used it a lot in the early weeks for night feeds, as I never got on well feeding a newborn lying down or sitting up in bed to feed. I thought it was great .

Thanks Grendle... did you try the chair before you bought it? I can see them for sale on the internet but do you know if they sell them in any shops?

No I just ordered it . I got mine from mothercare online. I'm not sure if they even still stock them, but if they do then maybe it might be worth ringing a big store to see if they stock them? Our small local ones didn't.

I have one of these chairs and used it for both my children (now 3 and 1) as I breastfed them for 9 months and 1 year respectively. I am quite short and found the gliders were unsupportive to my back, couldnt be used without footrest and the arms got in the way of my elbows/babys head. Not to mention the danger for little fingers in those mechanisms when they start crawling! The Kensington is awesome and so comfortable. I found I only needed one bed pillow on my lap to make me comfortable holding baby and in the middle of the night I would use a curved neck pillow to rest my head back on. Great chair, and good looking too...thinking of recovering it in a funky fabric and keeping it for the living room.
