Can you restart breastfeeding after weaning from one boob?

DS is nearly 12 months but has only been feeding off the right boob for about the last 2 months. Want to keep bfeeding for as long as possible, ideally from both boobs. Is there any way to get the left boob back in action?

I guess just latch him on and see what happens? Have you looked on kellymom to see if there is any info there?
I know that a couple of people on here were working at relactating after having stopped feeding altogether, in theory you'd think it might be easier having one boob in working order so to speak!

Out of interest, what was your reason for cutting out the left boob? I'm having problems with a cracked and sore nipple on one side and have been giving some thought to feeding DS only from my good side now that's he's approaching 8 months and my supply is well established.

I'm only feeding from one boob, and have tried to relatch on the other one but not had success. Sorry! I'm sure it is possible though, and I probably could have tried harder but no real reason to as dd is getting all she needs from just the one boob.

Alibaba - my reason for stopping on one side was breast refusal and extensive nipple damage
