How much milk around age of 1 and onwards?

My 10.5mo DS is on 2bfs (7am and 6pm) plus lots of solids. After many attempts at weaning to formula, I've realised he clearly hates the taste but will have cows milk so I'm holding of weaning for a few weeks and will then switch him onto cows milk.

I expect that he will want little and often rather as he does with drinks throughout the day now (1-2oz water many times a day rather a few bigger drinks, and even his bfs are not very big), so I'll probably have to be creative with milk in food as well to get a good amount into him.

So how much milk should I be aiming to get into him each day? And how quickly/slowly after the age of 1 does a dietary need for milk recede? I think he finds other food stuffs far more interesting than dairy, so I'd like to know how long I need to make the effort to keep getting the dairy into him versus when I can just relax and take his lead.

from the age of 1, 350mls is recommended (approx 12oz) although not all (or any) needs to be in drink form as they can get the same nutrients through their food e.g. milk in cereal, in foods, etc and any dairy products that they have e.g. cheese, yoghurt, etc. There are also non-dairy sources of calcium so you arent just limited to dairy foods to get their quota.

DS has a small cup of milk in the morning and at night and then just has water or dilited juice with meals and snacks.

Thanks - think we can probably manage 350ml. I'm guessing some on cereal plus a yoghurt/pudding and some cheese would get us to 250ml so I can feel okay about it if he takes 100-150ml in drinks through the day.
