What is a very slow flow bottle for expressed milk?

My sister has tommee tippee ones and they are too fast for her baby.
Are there any bottles that have really small holes in the teats for newborns who are used to bf'ing?

Is she using the Tommee Tippee ones with the central thing down the middle, and the special ultra-slow teats (only a few places sell them - we laid in a big stock whenever we could)? My son's tongue tie meant he couldn't control flow at all, all other teats were too fast (including other TT kinds), and he threw feeds up. Mervyn Griffiths, who does the research on tongue-tie, said most parents he's treated end up using those. BUT all TT auxiliary products were awful - we've returned the insulating thing, a cleaner, and a steam warmer, all useless. But until recently my LO would throw up if fed with anything else. They're meant to be bringing out BPA free versions soon, too - that's why we've swapped to NUK glass ones.

Alternatively, people here speak really highly of Breastflow bottles.

Because they aren't as yet BPA free! Not because they will be.

It's not so much about the holes. The bottles that are slower for bf babies are usually designed so the milk doesn't flow out without baby doing some work.

I would check out 'breastflow'

or the special needs feeder from medela (formerly called 'the haberman feeder'). You can use it on a zero flow option. Despite its name this one is often used by mums mixed feeding without any special needs in the picture. It was recommended by the 'baby whisperer' Tracy Hogg who believed flow confusion was a major concern for bfing mums using bottles.

Thank you, both of you. I will look at those and pass on the info to my sister x
