Hi I need some advice, I've broken my wrist and I'm b/feeding my 3 month DD but we are finding it very difficult to feed from right side as she will not latch on.

I've borrowed an electric pump to keep my milk suply to that side but I would like to put her back on the breast asap. Can any one give me some tips please.

Sorry to hear about the wrist, beckie. It must be quite difficult to manage with a such a young baby to care for...

Do you have a nursing pillow? Failing that, you could try propping her on a cushion wedged with the good hand, and let her find latch on herself, assuming she is strong and healthy enough. Most babies are able to find their way to a nipple as long as they are not asleep. If you try putting her on your bare chest when she's hungry, and do not help her, you will doubtless start to crawl around looking. Babies are very good at survival skills. 5'm sure others will be along with some sound advice soon. Good luck.

sorry to hear about your wrist. Have you tried feeding lying on your side? My DS takes all his feeds like this when we are at home as we both find it more comfortable.

Have you tried wrapping the cast up in something soft? Maybe she is finding it too sharp?
