10.5 month old, should i cut back on feeds?

My DD is 101/2 months and is exclusively breastfed. She has always been between the 50th and 75th percentile in weight, But has never even been remotely interested in solid foods of any description. Until she was about 9months i was not worried and carried on breastfeeding 10-15times during any 24 period, whilst doing BLW.
About a month ago i caved into presure from MIL and various others to offer some puree's as they claimed they 'had never seen her eat anything that didnt come out of my breasts'. But she hated purees as much as BLW.
I still offer her both finger foods and puree 3-4 times a day, and i would guess she eats about 3% of what i offer her.
I am staring to get worried she will never eat and maybe its time to cut back the breast feeds.
During the day she feeds every 3-4 hours and similar sometimes more at night.
I am also getting alot of pressure to wean her from the breast at 12 months, people suggesting this is the reason for her 'poor' appitite.
Did anyone else's babies hate food as much as mine?
Am i breastfeeding to frequently?
TIA

DD was similar at that age. She didn't really become interested in solids until about 13 months, and she's still a bit hit and miss now. Anything such as illness or teething and her appetite for solids disappears. She is slowly getting better though. I really wouldn't worry. When your DD is ready to eat you'll know about it! As long as she's growing and developing ok I honestly wouldn't worry. Also don't feel pressurised at all to wean at 12 months, do it when you and DD are ready

Have you tried having her on your knee and letting her pick off your plate? DD eats a bit more that way.

aren't people quite mad the way they want to rush poor babies along to independence. don't worry about it. really she's still very young and will still be getting most of her calories from milk until she's 1.

i did cut out a mid morning feed about that age to encourage appetite for lunch, always ds's most eaten meal. you could do same before whichever is your dd's most amenable meal.

Have not tried her on my knee in a good few weeks so i will try that again actually, thanks!
Nice to know other babies are similar. I often feel like i am doing something wrong when people comment on how little she eats, and i dont know any other mums with babies in the same situation so i have no sounding board for comparasoms.

re weaning you'll probably be feeding a bit less by then anyway so they might lay off. just carry on doing whatever suits you. some people are a bit ignorant about feeding babies past a certain stage (whatever they have decided, might be 8 weeks, 6m, 12m or 2yrs) but you will find plenty of support here if you are being got at.

of course there is always the slight implied criticism when you are doing things differently to mil or others who were mothers before you - they think they are being helpful because they are right and you are wrong. we know otherwise...

thanks fishie. She only ever really eats of an evening (if we are lucky) so i may try and sneak her midafternoon suckle and see if it works! thanks

Don't let other people pressure you to wean at 12 months if you don't want too. Ds2(11 months) was slow to wean onto solids. He's getting better now but still has alot of breastfeeds too. He has either solids of a bfeed every 2-3 hours and then every 4 hours through the night too. Alot of people will tell you that milk should be the main source of food until 12 months anyway and that eating solids at 6 montsh+ is more about getting used to different flavours and textures rather than replacing a milk feed.
