b/f second time around - what are chances of having same problem again (chronic blocked duct/galacaceole).

right I've exhausted the experts (my consultant, useless GP) so hoping someone here might have some more useful things to say...

I have (and have had since my milk came in) a blocked duct on one of my breasts - nothing worked (I gave up breastfeeding some months ago) and its been treated by a specialist who aspirates it for months now (5 and counting ).

my question is - how long is this going to go on for? I've not been b/f for months, all other signs seem to be back to normal hormone wise yet still keep filling this little bubble with milk?

also what are the chances of it happening again - don't beat me up here but if I have another one much as I want to breast feed I'm not sure I could cope with 2 children and constant visits to a specialist to deal with this again? consultant says doesn't really know but then I'm not sure he has seen one that started this early/kept going so long ifyswim.

really hopeing someone might have some insight on this as its really irritating me.

I've just had a look in the LLL Breastfeeding Answer book and it says that they can be surgically removed under local anaesthetic - maybe an option for you if it keeps recurring? They seem quite rare so it might not be something that will necessarily come back if you bf again...HTH
