Which is better for a windy baby - slower or faster teat??

DD is 8 days old, she is very windy and it takes agesss to wind her.

she was taking only an ounce or so every few hours and bringing some up with her wind so the midwife suggested i try a faster teat.

so we have now got her on the tommy tippee number 2 teats, and she is taking more 2-3 ounces, but still bringing alot of it up

I have some infacol but didnt really want to start using it, but feel i might have to.

any tips?

I started using infocol at 6 days as ds had trouble winding. I found it far to strong tbh and stopped after a few days, he seemed to bring up more milk on it. My cousin (has 3dc's and has worked with young children for 20yrs) suggested I try cooled boiled water before a feed, just a mouthful, but that didn't work for us either. I haven't heard about teats making a difference - that's not to say your hv is wrong just that mine didn't say anything about it.
At 8 days you can't use gripe water or anything......
We used dr brown bottles, they were brilliant, I also know lots of others who have used them with stubborn winders.

i knew that would be said!

i had Dr Brown bottles with my others and i dont know why i didn't get them this time round.

Now ive spent a fortune on tommee tippe bottles and number 2 teats for them too

Im gonna have to go to mothercare aren't i??

I did it too. Bought Avent bottles originally, changer to tommee tippee close ro nature and then had dr browns recommended. Cost an absolute fortune but if we think it might help, there's no getting out of it really is there?
Also do you warm milk? Only ask coz some people don't (I started off giving at room temp), but have also heard that the warmer the milk the easier the wind comes.
Also try sitting dd on your knee and just pressing on her lower back and I found in the middle left, if she's bringing up alot of milk I wouldn't rub.
Ds had really bad reflux but that didn't kick in till about 8 weeks so not sure if 2 is early or if it can happen now, but was told by our paed to keep ds upright for 45 mins after each feed.
