How old is your baby? Could it colic?

Jenbottleofeggnog · 24/12/2008 19:30

The only thing that I think might affect mine is peas. Weirdly!

Nothing I ate ever seemed to bother DD and I do tend to eat a pretty wide range of flavours.

Witching hour! We came out of the end of that at 14 weeks, DD now 18 weeks & much happier in the evenings - good luck.

I ate loads of spicy food while pregnant and in the early BF days and there was no problem - and now DS loves mild curries, etc, at 9 months!

I'd agree with poster above - that's classic baby goblin time, when even the most angelic turn on you...mine grew out of it at about 12/13 weeks.

Spicy food made my LOs nappies and pops smell of curries . Other than that I can't say I noticed any difference personally.

There is research that shows that the flavour of breastmilk changes according to what you eat, but the same is true of amniotic fluid in pregnancy, so if you ate curries while pregnant then your baby will be used to it.
