This is OK for breastfeeding mothers provided its threadworm or round worm you have.

You would need to avoid breastfeeding for eight hours. How old is your lo?

It might be better to go to the GP, he/she can then arrange for a stool sample from your baby to analysised.

I took the vermox when ds2 was three weeks old om the advice of my gp. It made him ill and I complained and he said doctors didn't worry about a bit of runs in a baby. He had a very bad stomach ache, you are not supposed to take it while bf.

When we got them AGAIN, six months later, I took an adult dose of Pripsen, the worm medicine for under two's. My new gp agreed that if it did go through then at least it was the right medicine iyswim.

You can also use hygiene methods if you want to avoid altogether. Someone told me that applying tea-tree oil topically deterred them from coming out to lay the eggs therefore the cycle is broken but you can do it by being scrupulous with handwashing.
