Does anyone have any tips? I have just started feeding newborn DD2 and only seem to be comfortable (and was the same with DD1 so didn;t last very long at bf and would like to try harder this time) if I hold her with one arm and use the other to hold up my boob! If I don't it is uncomfortable for me and DD can't breathe! No free hands is going to be very debilitating.

I also have never got the hang of being discreet - I have to pull up my top, pull doen my bra and literally haul the boob out and up before I start holding it all up while I get DD in position with the other hand - then have to move DD out of the way to get it all back in again at the end.

Other tricky bit is checking the latch - I can't really see!
Any advice would be great!

G cup here also & greatful to read I am not the only one that needs two hands & pillows etc It can feel a bit discouraging when you see other mums just pop their dc on with minimum effort and seem to have hands free for coffee & texting! Also have knackered wrists - seems to be common amongst the large norked bfers, one lady I know has just had two surgeries for it & I am going for cortisone injections next week. Anyway, just adding that there is something called the boobybooster which is a sling that attaches to the bra to hoist the boob up www.boobybooster.com.au/ . It was invented by a mum & won an award in Australia on an inventors program where they featured a bf-ing mum on TV !! I don't think it is available in the UK but if anyone is desperate to try it I can send one over (haven't tried it myself yet tho).

I am also a G cup. With regard to discretion - I bought a breastfeeding shawl from Blossom Moon shop on ebay. It was about £21 and has been a god send for me. Makes it so much easier bf in public and around relatives etc. Not sure how I would have managed otherwise!!

I was a K cup when first breastfeeding, now down to H cup now he is down to 3 feeds a day. I could have written WMMC's post, partic about the effort involved in releasing the beasts

Pillows at home helped, but lying down was the best as bed supported my boob so I had a free hand to read magazine, flick remote control etc.

It took a few weeks to get the hang of lying down but even now at nearly 8mo it is our comfiest bf position. Don't need to be in the bedroom - can do it on the sofa like this so have full access to Sky+ (essential bf equipment IMO ) and not worried about biscuit crumbs getting under the duvet!

Out and about, I found the trick of a long top (one that goes down to bum rather than stops at waist) with an unbuttoned cardi worked best at concealment. Cardi conceals all the flab skin around the sides and back that can get exposed, and long top meant extra fabric could be rolled and sit just above DS's nose and be draped around rest of boob as needed.
