playtex naturalatch teats - can I use with other bottles?

Trying to get DD to take bottles as going into hospital for couple of days soon but she doesn't really suck.

Tried a few different bottles and teats, so far Tommee Tippee(slow and fast-flow), Nuk and Mam but without success.

Having read previous posts it seems the Playtex Naturalatch might be worth a try but don't really want to pay for more bottles, so does anyone know if I use the teats with any of the bottles I already have, or any cheap and readily available bottles like boots or supermarkets own?

Can you tell this is my first child? I'm clueless!!

They worked for us - but they won't work with other bottles.

You don't say how old your DD is - assuming little baby?

This BPA Free - Original Nurser Trial Kit - 4oz (scroll down) is quite good value at £4.49. The disposable liners mean the system has the added advantage of delivering no air.

She's nearly 20 weeks, breastfeeds fine but really not taking to bottles at all, just pokes her tongue at the teat and laps up any milk that comes out.

Thanks for link Swampster will add this bottle to my ever-expanding collection and cross my fingers that have a bit more luck!

You could always try feeding with a little cup or a spoon? Good luck with it.

Hi Cinnamon, I have a few of these bottles to give away for free (except postage.) see this link: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/for_free/650284-Would-anyone-want-a-set-of-Original-Playtex-Nurser-System

I used this system after breastfeeding, and mix feeding, and they are really great. I didn't have any problems with feeding or anything, but that's just what most mums use in Canada, where I'm from, so I bought them here and got good service and deliveries. I have many bottles and bags, you would just have to buy the nipples. You should know that the nipples are in latex, which is very soft, but you cannot sterilise then in sterilising liquid, or boil,or steam, you just brush them with liquid soap and brush for about a minute under warm water. You might also need to change the nipples moreoften than other bottles, but they are not expensive. If I was you I would go streight to the fast flow (which is still slow). Please let me know if you would like the bottles, and need help on how to use them.

Thankyou so much for offer blueberry pancake but don't need these now! After roughly 4 weeks of attempting bottlefeeding DD finally did it (with the original Tommee Tippee bottles I had all along that were free with steriliser!)

Don't know if she finally figured out how to suck from a bottle, or if she was just being stubborn and holding out for breastfeed all the times before. We got there in the end and DD has been taking a bottle mid-morning for last few days i can have an evening out now, ooh or a day out without child, or a drink....
