How Do you get enough milk in to baby with a cup?

Trying to get DD on to a bottle (only for one feed a day - not giving up bf just yet). She is nearly 6 months and has been exclusively breastfed, though have been trying to get her to take a bottle for a month. She absolutely refuses, 'cept for chewing and playing with the teat and the most she has ever taken is an ounce. Lots of friends have suggested going straight to a cup - but how does this work and which cups are best? Also how do you ensure they get enough?

Only time and plenty of practice will make sure your lo takes enough from a cup. I started offering milk from a cup for a feed when ds was 9 months old (he was bottlefed). I used an avent magic cup or a cow patterned cup - both can be made free-flowing by removing the valve but I left the valve in as it was less messy, especially with milk. He had water from a tommee tippee first cup but I didnt want to confuse him by giving him milk from that cup too. It is a good first cup as it is free-flowing so they dont need to suck to much to get the liquid out.
