I thought that infacol was more preventative (ie giving it with the feed each time) and I used gripe water only when she needed it so after a feed. It works by dispersing the bubbles (wind) into smaller ones so that they can burp more easily (from what I gather) so don't know if would wait around for the bubbles to form.

Sorry if that doesn't make any sense but that's just how I used it. Can you ask your pharmacist? They're usually very good with things like that.

hi infacol is meant to be given before each feed & contains sugar ( bottle does say no but!!)- would keep your baby awake. give gripe water on its own you could also try a little peppermint oil rub into babies tummy & the soles of the feet.

We found Infacol didnt work too well so we switched to gripe water. We gave it to her either during or after her feed in a syringe.

It was sooo much better then Infacol and she burped really well.

Colief expensive but has worked well for DS much better than Infacol or Gripe Water.

Colief can make baby hyper as it breaks down the milk sugars and if you have a slow feeder the milk is sickly sweet at the end.

Gripe water, have done in the bottle,no difference to giving during or after feed.

Infacol, yep sugared and also can make more sick ups.
