A year old - what would you give - follow on milk or soya milk?

DD3 is a year old and has been breastfed till now.
A combination of weaning her off due to my return to work last week and her deciding she doesn't actual want to be breastfed at all now mean BF has stopped.
I have been offering her cows milk but she grabs the bottle hungrily and then as the taste hits her she pushes the bottle away and refuses to carry on.
I tried follow on milk and she drained the whole bottle happily. I also tried soya and she also drained the bottle happily. I tried cows milk on it's own - no way. Tried cow's milk with a teaspoon of manuka honey - no way.
So which is the better option soya or follow on milk?

personally i would do follow on milk rather than soya. then keep trying with cows milk. was it full fat? think follow on is just generally sweeter than standard cows. breast milk very sweet.

Follow on milk is much better than soya milk - don't give soya milk unless you absolutely have to because of allergy or intolerance. You could try starting with follow on milk with a tiny amount of cow's milk and keep increasing until she gets used to the taste. Formula is much sweeter than cow's milk.

i thought that soya milk was not recommended for young babies and children unless it was prescribed by a doctor, why not give follow on milk... hipp organic is not that expensive

question answered then, thank you.
will bin the soya and do follow on and keep offering the cows milk. Having tasted the follow on it is very sweet hence trying the manuka honey in cows mil to make it an easier transition. thanks.

How interesting, i really had no idea there ws a possibility that soya milk could be damaging.

So pleased I asked now.

And it's been poured away.
