This story on the BBC website today is interesting. I didn't realise the flavour got through so quickly!

God that title has been winding me up ALL DAY. Its the lead headline on the subject on google news as well. Even the Daily Mail has a more balanced title.

actually if some foods change the flavour of the milk for up to 8 hours that seems like a long time for me, especially if you're feeding a newborn

For me it says " Diet 'can flavour mother's milk'" and if i search for taint in the article it doesn't come up?

It would certainly make sense, I ate a lot of curry whilst bfing DS1 and he has no problem with hot spicy things on his palate.

I don't understand this part - how can anything the mother eats impart flavours via formula? Or do they just mean that different formulas have slightly different flavours, therefore giving the baby variety?
