Thats it really - can't remember if I stopped after a year with my dd - it was a while ago now

I stopped when mine were starting to move around and pick things up off the floor and put them in their mouths (around 6 months). Also, if you have a dishwasher it's usually hotter than water you would wash up in, so no need to sterilise.

That will be now then - he has everything in his mouth - have a dishwasher so hurrah no need to sterilize anymore

I stopped quite early with my second (about 'moving about' time with my first though) when the dog came up and licked his hands which ds 2 then stuffed in his mouth...

Just dishwash everything. No need to sterilse. Ever. Nobody in the US sterilises (sterilzes? )

Alternatively, wash in hot soapy water, rinse in hot water and leave to air dry on clean kitchen paper. It's what UCHL recommend for babies leaving the special care unit.

I stopped at about 4 months.
