Breast feeding and having wisdom teeth removed under a local.

Having put off going to the dentist for 3 years I have now found I have to have my upper wisdom teeth removed.
The dentist I saw says that a local anaesthetic will not go through to my dd through breast milk and that I can drive home immediately afterwards. Is this true?

I had mine removed under a local when my breastfed dd was only 8 weeks. It was fine and it is not a problem to breastfeed straight afterwards. I had mine done at the hospital (it was impacted) and the anaesthetist said it was ok to breastfeed.

I felt a bit shaky afterwards and had someone to pick me up and take me home, but this might be because it was a more difficult procedure.

Thanks princessglitter. I feel reassured to hear this.
