Is it possible to go away for a week and still manage to BF 14mo DTs on my return?

I may need to be away with work for 7 days when my DTs will be 14mo old. I do intend to cut down to morning and evening feeds soon (hopefully when they are 12mo) but I hadn't really thought of a stopping date yet. I guess, if possible, I'd love to be able to go away for this week and resume feeding them morning and evening when I get back. Is this completely unrealistic and if not, how much will I need to express whilst I'm away? (Will be travelling in a remote area so possibly no access to electric pump!)

Does anyone have any advice as to how to go about this?

TIA!

By that age, it should be a good possibility. when my daughter was 2 I stayed at my mum and dads' for a while, and something that was said put her off, and she didn't feed for 5 or 6 days. I was quite sad as i hadn't planned to stop feeding her quite like that, but figured that as she was two, then "oh well".
However, when we got back home and she was on her own territory, she straight away asked for mummy-milk again. We were sown to a feed every day or two at that point though.
You might want to practise hand-expressing before you go though, both to keep your supply up, and to stop you becoming engorged. You wouldn't want to get mastitis-y while away in a remote area for work!

You probably won't need to express at all in terms of keeping a supply going as it will be so well established by then that it will be back to normal after just a few feeds once you're home. I know I left my 14mo for 4 days and it made no apparent difference to my supply when I returned. I expressed once while I was away to relieve some pressure.

Your biggest problem is likely to be feeling quite full and uncomfortable after 24-36 hours. That's the longest I can go before it gets too sore to touch them. Can you hand express? The easiest way if you haven't got a pump would be to hand express in the shower - may be practice before you go!
