BFing at 1 year. How much milk in a cup?

Ds will be one soon and I'm still bfing successfully. He now feeds about 3 times a day and a few times during the night, but only for very short spells.

In cups he takes water and we give him a bit of cheese and yogurt everyday.

My question is, I know that they say to give cow's milk at a year, but what do you think? Should I? Is the breast milk enough? Should I give breast milk in a cup?

It says here that as long as you're nursing 3-4 times a day there is no need for cow's milk at all. My dd is 10 months, and I personally plan to just carry on bfing and giving water in a cup, with maybe the occasional taste of cow's milk.

I'd just carry on breastfeeding and give cow's milk in cup when you're not around (ie at nursery)

I planned to stop at 1 year, but somehow I'm still going and DS is nearly 2...

But anyway - cowsmilk: I offered tiny amounts in a cup to DS from about 12 months, he wasn't that impressed. Then by about 15 months he got more of a taste for it, which was handy as I had to miss a few bedtime feeds due to work. He now sometimes asks for it during the day, takes me over to the fridge and asks for milk.

You don't have to offer cowsmilk at all if you don't want to. Breastmilk is still wonderful stuff after 1 year
