What foods to avoid while BF so baby doesn't get wind and break out in spots?

DD is 18 days old and has broken out in spots all over her cheeks and forehead.

Don't have the energy to conduct an experiment to see if it's anything I'm eating that's caused it.

Anyone know if there are particular foods I should avoid that cause spots (or wind), or is it just one of those things? Or are there other things we can do to reduce spottiness?

Not a major worry really but would be nice to know.

Cheers

Might just be baby acne. DD had it for a week or so, it goes away on its own.

Are you sure it's not baby acne? Here's some info. I think my dd's skin flared up at around this age.

Babies get spotty. Their skin is just getting used to the outside world and not being in amniotic fluid

I agree - life is too short to worry about the very slight possibility it is connected with something you are eating.

Ditto wind

Both mine were v spotty for a few weeks, totally normal. They soon disappear.
WInd also totally normal.

Thanks all. Sounds like it's baby acne. Oh well. She's lovely and healthy so will just have to put up with her not looking absolutely perfect when I introduce her to friends and family! Cheers

All babies get spotty. It's to do with hormonal changes and nothing to do with her food. IME they appear just when you think, 'ooh, I feel good today and baby is gorgeous, I'll go out and show her off to family/have some pictures taken/introduce her to my old workmates....' and people peer into the pram and recoil slightly while saying 'uh!....oh, i mean, she's LOVELY'
They do get better though all by themselves.
