9 month old off formula

Hey,

so this is my 2nd baby, and ever since she hit 9 months (2 weeks ago) she's suddenly going from taking 600ml a day of formula and 2 meals a day to anything between 300-400ml at most. My first thought was ok, lets drop 1 formula feed then like she wants but up her solids to 3 meals a day.

I have started giving her multi vitamins with her milk but there are certain meal times that are like she's just not hungry and when we offer milk, she's like nah I dont want this either. she is perfectly content, developing as usual. that said she needs to be weighed as im unsure what her current weight is.

ive had to change her plan to the below as I feel this is what she wants but my head is sort of telling me its way too soon for her to take hardly any formula?? but then im also remembering everything the HV told me first time round "follow babys lead"....

wake up (anytime between 5:30am - 7:30am) - bottle (around 100ml)

breakfast (an hour after wake up and bottle)

bottle (around 50ml) - around 1st nap time

lunch (an hour after nap)

bottle (around 50ml) - around 2nd nap time

dinner (around 4:30pm-5pm)

bottle (around 100-200ml split in 1 or 2 feeds once she's down for the night)

can anyone offer some advice? did your little one go off formula earlier than expected?

I would drop the first bottle and go straight to breakfast in the hope that it will encourage her to take more at her other feeds.

Can I ask which formula she’s on too as this can make a difference.

If it’s of any use, the guidelines say from 10 to 12 months she should be on 450 mid of formula a day so perhaps it’s not the end of the world if she’s doing goid a couple of weeks earlier? Smile
