hi DA, i really liked the freya ones, but the best IME, and im a 34G is the Royce - lots of types, ive got a couple of different ones. baby crying , got to go.....

mamalovesmojitos · 08/06/2008 00:53

i used elle mcpherson intimates one, gorgeous colour aswell as being practical. not sure what size it goes up to but i was about an E or F at the time. cant really remember though...

jamila169 · 08/06/2008 01:20

apart from freya, there only seem to be royce who do supportive large cup sizes -I've tried everywhere and always end up back with them, its a shame because emma jane used to do a fantastic zip cup,but they've discontinued it

ladymac · 08/06/2008 04:32

Figleaves do a good one by Anita. It's underwired with a soft cup so gives a nice shape under t-shirts etc.

ladymac · 08/06/2008 04:47

Whoops, sorry, have just checked the website and they no longer do that one. Shame, I really liked it.

ReverseThePolarity · 08/06/2008 06:45

Displacement... my norks are size 32silly and there are only two nursing bras in my size; both were a bit rubbish (well, the NCT one wasn't too bad until I washed it - imvho you need to be able to wash a nursing bra).

So I made my own using one of these and an existing bra. I can't recommend it enough. Means you can have an attractive bra, too!

EffiePerine · 08/06/2008 06:48

Emma Jane ones were the best for me (34H or so)

scarletwoman666 · 08/06/2008 07:34

Hi. I am a G cup at the moment and use the Miriam Stoppard ones from Debenhams. £25 for two bras.I find them very comfy and supportive

madamy · 08/06/2008 07:54

I've got the Freya one too but don't like it as much as the Jasmine one from Royce. Unfortunately it's a bit boring - I had the Freya one in petal so felt a bit prettier!
I get mine from Bravissimo here

TheBlonde · 08/06/2008 08:23

I had the Royce Jasmine ones
Now having lots of back problems and have shoulders like coat hangers

If there is a next time I will either wear underwired or do as RTP suggests and alter my old bras

BouncingTurtle · 08/06/2008 14:55

i have 2 of these. Very practical and comfy, come in black nude and white. Go up to a K. I'm a 36J.
Quite fancy this one though!

TinkerbellesMum · 08/06/2008 15:10

Bravissimo have some nice bras, better than they did two years ago they're not that expensive either and they do sets now.

I'm a 34H, but I think I may need to be refitted.

TinkerbellesMum · 08/06/2008 15:10

And I'm still using my Bravissimo bras almost two years later.

jamila169 · 08/06/2008 15:36

that first one looks like one i had from boots aeons ago, and it was great - I'm seriously thinking of going for the conversion option though, I like my underwires, just not the whole flop em out over the top thing!

evenhope · 08/06/2008 15:57

I'm a 34H and have 2 Anita nursing bras. One is this one and the other is an underwired.

ReverseThePolarity I'm surprised you can't find bras your size, Bravissimo do to 30-40DD to 32-40L in their nursing bras.

Mine are all coming up to two years old and I do find them suppotive still. I miss my wires and the shape got from a normal bra, but they're not unsupportive at all.

nct73 · 09/06/2008 14:03

As a big boobed but small framed breast feeder (32J then down to 30H), i found Royce were the only ones that fitted comfortably (i.e still felt as tho had some support)and not totally extortionate - I found some good deals on line. Nothing in Mothercare or M & S fitted.

cece · 09/06/2008 14:04

I also used Royce - they were only ones in my size at the time but were comfortable

Catilla · 09/06/2008 14:08

Another big vote for Bravissimo www.bravissimo.com here

Did you know they are also now saying that underwire is fine as long as it fits properly (and I didn't know what "properly" meant until I went to Bravissimo in person!

HTH

missbumpy · 09/06/2008 16:19

I'm around a 32G and have had exactly the same problem. I found the Freya one ok but I prefer this one

Then I found this brand and it's AMAZING! Can't recommend it highly enough. It actually lifts them up, looks pretty and sexy, is really comfortable, and is easy to unclip for feeding..

Now I'm not feeding every 5 minutes I often just wear a normal underwired bra and yank it down to feed.
Good luck!

MrsHOP · 09/06/2008 17:22

on the same subject, any advice on a good place to get them fitted?

I was told I should go 2 weeks before due date but surely they can't tell by then how big they are likely to get?

welshlinz · 09/06/2008 20:36

i love the carriwell drop cup feeding bras as they go in small medium, large etc and go up to 32G and bigger. They are like a vest top almost with clips for feeding. Used them all through feeding with first and are reasonably priced on ebay brand new. Hope that helps
