For about 3 or 4 days now DD has been biting me when feeding. She has taken a few feeds, but yesterday I went to a wedding all afternoon and all evening. She feed in the morning but refused after that and I tried this morning and she just bit me again (though she had had a little cow's milk with my mum before I got up), but she cames to me and pulled in my top so I thought she wanted it. Obviously not.

She has been having cow's milk. Initially it was just to replace the 2 feeds she misses 3 days a week while I am at work as I seem to no longer be able to express and my freezers stores have run out. This has only been for 2 weeks (she's 11 months) but basically she hasn't nursed since yesterday morning. She refused the night before that and went to bed on cow's milk. I haven't pumped either and have no engorgement. Is this the beginning of the end Should I be pumping while she is not feeding? Is this just a strike? I've never had to deal with this before. I don't what to do and am very upset.

I would follow your dd's lead...if shes biting and/or refusing and she's 11 months she may just want to stop. And yes it is incrediably sad when they stop but you will still have the closeness of your bond with her I find if I offer my dd chocolate she gives the same reaction as when she saw a boob ...

Isn't it early for her to wean herself though?
