Stopping breastfeeding at 2.5 years

Hello, I've recently stopped feeding my daughter at 2.5, she's still have one feed in the night when she wakes up. But I was wondering how this effected others at this stage? There's lots of literature about stopping at younger age but not much at toddler stage. My skin seems have broken out awfully and I can only assume this is linked? How long until.my milk actually dries up!?

It won’t dry up while you’re still feeding.

It takes time to dry up completely - like several weeks or even months before there is no milk at all if you check. You should very quickly have no issues with discomfort/feeling too full though. And one feed at age 2.5 should be fairly easy to replace with cows milk or cuddles or whatever for you toddler too. They understand enough that you can just say there’s no more milk left so now you’re going to do or have X thing instead. I found stopping caused a bit of an emotional crash (I blame the change in hormones/ oxytocin production) and it took a little while for my mood to stabilize again.
