6 weeks cluster feeding!

Hi,
My 6 week old has been cluster feeding for the last couple of days. He normally doesn't go much more than 1-3 hours between feeds, which I'm finding tiring in itself tbh. But now is only going 30mins-1 hour before he wants more milk. I'm breastfeeding, so feeling pretty exhausted.
He also hasn't slept much today at all. Other than a small nap, he's been awake the last 4/5 hours.
How long does this usually last? Please tell me the light at the end of the tunnel is near? 😴

you are doing amazingly, I remember my DD doing this on and off especially in hot weather, as like us she was just more thirsty! Keep yourself hydrated and well fed, rest when you can and it should calm down relatively soon. DD still cluster feeds now at night with teething/growing but it’s relatively short lived.

Thank you 🩵
It's so so hard. I'm really hoping soon things will start getting easier. Everyone says it will, but it feels endless atm! I'm hoping soon he will be able to go longer stretches between feeds. I read so much about babies of a similar age going 4+ hours between feeds, that sounds wonderful.
I feel guilty saying all of this!

4 hours would be extremely unusual at 6 weeks but wanting to spend a couple of days feeding non-stop is fairly normal.

Try and make sure you have some good snacks an a nutritional lunch, plenty of drinks so you stay hydrated and do some binge watching with your feet up.

It will get better Flowers

@BunnyRuddington Oh that's definitely reassuring to hear!
I'm currently doing just that 😌
Thank you for your reply 💜

Stick with it, it will get better!

I seem to remember that everything suddenly got into a more predictable pattern at 12 weeks with both of mine, but I think they still did cluster feeding for growth spurts and the like.
