Too much salmon?

Hi,

My 20 month DD is eating a 110g fillet of salmon a week. The nhs seem to say no more than 80g which I didn't realise.

Does anyone know if 110g, basically a whole size fillet, is harmful? Are people really strict with how much salmon they feed their babies or toddlers?

I'm not sure whether I'm over thinking it or right to be concerned I've potentially overfed her salmon for about a year.

It's because it's an oily fish and they can contain pollutants that build up in the body. I thought 2 portions was ok for girls and 4 for boys

You could offer other fish that isn't an oily fish instead. Tinned tuna doesn't count as an oily fish

@dementedpixie yeah it's 2x 40 grams apparently. Ive just read it's to do with future pregnancies if she has kids when shes older so if I reduce the amount now hopefully no harm done!
