Is my baby eating enough at each feed?

My baby is 4 weeks old, he gained 350 grams in a week so I know he is eating enough overall and midwife was happy with his weight on Monday when he was weighed. However he isn’t having big feeds at a time, sometimes he has 60ml, sometimes 30ml and falls asleep… but it says he should be eating 120ml at each feed by now, given his weight (he’s around 9 pounds 7 ounces now.

Is this normal for babies?

Hi.
Yes, that's normal. As long as he's gaining weight it doesn't matter how much he has.

It's usually more helpful to look at daily intake rather than the amount they take each feed. Some babies will prefer little and often over bigger less frequent feeds.
At this age my daughter was breastfeed but did very short but frequent feeds.
She was 10 months when we went on to formula and had 5oz in the day and 8 Oz before bed.
She's a reflux baby/child so the smaller feeds probably caused her less reflux and pain.
If they are gaining weight, making plenty of wet and dirty nappies, are alert and happy and it's working for you go with the baby not the tin!

It's normal, think of the 60ml feed as a full English breakfast and the 30ml feed as a mid morning snack, a bit like how we as adults don't eat exactly the same amount at each meal. If you had a massive lunch, you'd probably have a smaller meal for dinner.

As a rough guide the NHS says that babies need 150ml - 200ml per kg over 24 hours: https://111.wales.nhs.uk/livewell/pregnancy/bottleformulacommonquest/

So for your baby that would be 4.28 x 150 = 642ml over 24 hours, or 4.28 x 200 = 856ml over 24 hours.

Ignore what it says on the formula tin and just feed him when he seems hungry. As long as he's gaining weight and has plenty of wet nappies then it's fine.
