Colostrum - mixing milk?

I’m 36+5 and starting to think about colostrum harvesting.

I tried for the first time and got a tiny (REALLY tiny) amount, as in a few drops. I know that’s not uncommon, and hopefully will get more as I get the hang of it. But is it worth keeping a few drops in a syringe? Can I add to that syringe before I freeze it, or do I need to use a new one for each deposit?

I’ve read mixed feedback online, some saying mixing within 24 hours is fine but others saying don’t add newly harvested colostrum to a syringe with colostrum out of the fridge?

Any help, much appreciated!! Thanks ladies!

It's because the fresh colostrum warms up the fridge colostrum. What I would do is collect in multiple and cool them all then mix

Is there a reason that you’ve got to harvest your colostrum? Sounds like a bit if an added thing that you might not need Smile
