Nuk bottle teats

Hello,
I am using nuk first choice bottles for my baby. I have been using the 0-6 months medium flow teat for her but at times iv noticed the milk streams from the teat before I can even get it in her mouth, it flows out very fast and really annoys her. Iv tried the slow teats in the past but I'm not sure if these are too slow for her. It's the silicone teats. Am I doing something wrong? I try to make sure the bottle ring isn't on too tight, I loosen it then screw it back on so it's tight enough to stop leaks but not screwed on to tight if that makes sense, should I be tightening it until it cant be tightened any more but only until it is tight but not over tightening it? Hope that makes sense 😕 also the bigger nuk first choice bottles are very long, if I was to use the nature sense bottles are the teats nearly the same apart from being wide necked?

No, we had this same problem with nuk. We perservered with the S teat for a little while, but switched on M fairly quickly and just did very slow paced feeding to manage the flow. How old is baby? You can buy small nuk bottles that only hold around 180ml so they are shorter than the 300ml ones but obviously once baby starts drinking more, you'll need to move back to the 200ml. I'll find the amazon link for you.

Thank you. It will be helpful to have the smaller bottles for larger formula amounts as baby, who is 3 months likes to feed snuggled up to my chest looking at me but I have to crane my neck very far back with the longest bottles 😕🙂

Also did you seem to find your baby more windy on the nuk bottles? My baby is very windy even a while after feeds and I'm not sure if it's the bottles causing it

My baby was very windy but I was never sure what caused it. We also had a prep machine which can make them gassy. Could also be a genetic component... 😳🤣

I also used the Nuk bottles. If you tighten them too much nothing comes out.. I learnt that the hard way when my DD was drinking for an hour but nothing had come out!

I tried the S teat for a while but ended up just using M and pace feeding. My DD was very windy but don’t think the bottles were the issue as she’s still windy now and she’s nearly 5!
