Using a Hakkaa instead of pump?

I'm about to have my second. I hated pumping first time around and don't see how I'll have time with the toddler as well (I have a in-bra cup one too but the washing up of all the little pieces will be too much).

Were you able to maintain a decent pumped supply using a hakkaa only during feeds? Curious as this seems too good to be true. I've seen people on YouTube claiming this was the case but I'm sceptical.

I have a naturebond which is pretty much the same as a hakkaa, i wouldn't be able to use it as a full time pump I don't think, I don't really pump tbh but when I've used it I've only been able to get a maximum of 3oz once a day but ive only ever used it once a day for a small while as i couldnt be bothered with it anymore so i now just ebf, do you plan to exclusively pump? If so I would invest in an electric pump, you could use the pump on one side and the hakkaa on the other

A suction pump like a Haakaa is not recommended as a sole use pump if planning to exclusively expressing or mostly feeding expressed milk. This is because it does not/cannot fully drain the breast (like a handheld pump, electric pump or breastfeed would) so the milk collected is not as fatty as milk collected from an electric pump and therefore is not suitable as a baby's only milk or primary milk source.

It's not completely clear from your post but if you are planning to exclusively express milk rather than feeding directly, I would invest in a good quality double pump and make sure you have the right size flanges. You could consider alternating between this and the in-bra pump to allow some hands-free expressing.
