4 week old baby

My 4 week old baby is drinking around 900ml formula / 24 hours. Is this normal??

Also he has a lot of trapped wind which he struggles to get out. He feeds, takes around an hour to burp and then struggles with trapped wind the other way and then is up again for his next feed! Relentless routine.
Anyone with similar issues?

That’s a lot of milk, my 6 month old drinks that in a day. Are you pace feeding him?

For trapped wind, lots of bicycles, burping at regular intervals and not just at the end of the feed, keeping baby upright helped me. But he might be in pain because he’s drinking too much. It takes babies 10 mins or so to realise they’re full.

That’s a huge amount for a 4 week old, how much does he weigh?

Thanks that's really helpful!
I looked into pace feeding and one of the things if says is to make sure the teat isn't entirely full- but won't the baby just inhale air? Additionally, pace feeding is stop and start? My baby falls asleep when I stop and then wakes up hungry soon after - ? Leading to cluster feeding. Would be super grateful for advice on pace feeding you may have

There are some good videos on YouTube. The narrowest part of the test should be full, otherwise they will swallow air, but the whole top of the bottle doesn't need to be full if you get me. You should try to keep the bottle as horizontal as you can, obviously you will need to tip it up towards the end. You don't stop for ages, just lower the teat for a couple of seconds now and then so the baby isn't actively sucking, you can keep it in their mouth to stop them getting upset.
