somebody please give me some advice! My 7 month old EBF baby won’t take a bottle and I’m supposed to be going out for the night in a few nights and he just messes around with the bottle. I left him for one night when he was 5 months old and he eventually took a bottle but it was a struggle. He won’t drink from a soppy cup or a straw as he just chews it. I woukd be leaving the house at around 5 and he usually goes to sleep at around 7 but drinks mulk throughout the night for comfort to get him back to sleep. Can anybody give me some advice please?

He doesn't need feeding during the night at 7 months. You might find if you have an experienced babysitter in, they can settle him during the night without a bottle.

I bf mine and never bothered with bottles - straight onto the cup at 6 months (plus carried on bf of course)

I think your baby will take one look at the babysitter, realise there's no milk on offer, probably have a little fuss and then go back over to sleep.👍

If it's an emergency, try gently feeding out of a syringe, like the Calpol ones. Will take a while though, and a hungry baby may not actually have the patience for it.
