My 6 week old baby sicks up milk after every feed. It isn't just once, it is multiple times. It's becoming so draining and I am absolutely desperate for a solution. It is all I think about at the moment.

He is breastfed. So far, he has had a tongue tie cut, I hold him upright after feeds, try winding him halfway through. I've got gaviscon from the gp but I'm reluctant to use it. I seem to have a fast let down. I've cut out dairy and soya to see if that helps. He is putting on weight (more than 'expected'. Any advice would be so appreciated.

My baby was the same. Piled on the weight despite projectile vomiting multiple times a day. Hospital said she was just a piggy (referred as GP concerned she might have had a pyloric narrowing). Basically as long as they are gaining weight they aren't worried. Unfortunately I didn't find anything that helped but it did ease eventually (around 4/5 months).

My daughter was like this but she also developed severe silent reflux which made her perpetually miserable. She also had multiple food allergies.
For us the reflux as only responded to high dose reflux treatment. She's still on it aged 4 which is unusual

I would give the gaviscon tbh. We spent ages on and off gaviscon trying to find a dose that would help but not constipate her. After 2 months we accepted lactulose alongside the gaviscon and alongside top dose omperazole. She's still on the gaviscon but only needed the lactulose for a couple of months. I wish we had accepted the lactulose earlier. The thicker milk made a difference with the vomit and the omperazole made a difference on the discomfort from silent reflux. We are on domperidone too which speeds up the emptying of the stomach so it's a shorter time then milk is available to reflux. This was a game changer for us but can only be prescribed by paeds after other methods have failed
