FFS he is small!! He is gaining weight now, and is on one meal a day, plus BFs. Why can't they see that callum is just a small child. He is devolping normally so whats the problem??

Me and DH both went into that appointment knowing we would get 'moaned' at about Callum's weight and about increasing this and that, so we are prepared for it. We both said that we wouldn't listen lol! He is a happy, healthly baby. The only person we listen to now is the lovely BF councillor, who is fully supportive of me BF.

Ugh, you know what's best for your baby SGK.
As long as you know he is happy and healthy then I'd just tell them to go bother someone else, you could see it that whilst they waste their time and energy on you talking bollocks they're leaving a less confident mother alone for a few minutes.
I'd be inclined to complain to someone tbh, including plenty of research showing the doc he is wrong. They shouldn't be allowed to do this.

I don;t know who to complain too thou. I ov. have all the problems I have encountered written down on here so can pull all the crap info i have been given up.

Hmm, not sure DS1 was 39wks but he was ELCS so maybe he wouldve been late?
I've just been listening to massive attack-teardrop, apparently the idea behind it was to sound like the womb (the song is about unplanned pg and abortion) anyway ds has just gone really quiet, I wonder if it reminds him of being in the womb..

VictorianSqualor · 21/04/2008 13:22

SparklyGothKat · 21/04/2008 13:25

You can complain to baby friendly then, they'd be very interested to hear how little support you got.

SparklyGothKat · 21/04/2008 23:52

have found who to contact now, unsure what to write tho. do i name names?

Yes, definitely.
Name names and specific information, especially anything that goes against guidelines.
