Does anyone have one? I live in SW3 and can send DH over to get it.

My dd refused to latch or suck. I ended up expressing for her. Got various b-feeding people in, NO-ONE could make her suck. She was pretty teeny and spent her 1st few days in SCBU, that might have been it. Had terrible help with b-feeding in hospital, but quite good help afterwards. Still, everyone gave up, but did my best w the pump... (never got a great supply going though...)

Hi Molly - my DS was also a ventouse delivery and BF initially was a nightmare because he would only feed on one side and not the other and yet took EBM like a champion. I took him to see a cranial osteo who treats babies from 2 weeks old and she explained that it is not unusual to have an assisted delivery baby battle with BF, mainly because they suffer some sort of strain during birth which could make latching on or sucking uncomfortable. She treated my DS twice and we were sorted - BF for 7 months - will happily pass on details if you wish to see her (she is in SW1)
BTW - mixing bottle and breast from so early on had no adverse effects - in fact, made it easier to wean him.

Orangina: I got the symphony, thanks. It has really cut down on time.

Coolmama: What you're saying on assisted delivery and BS makes sense. Things going a bit better now. Will write about it here
