Nannycare goat formula - experiences?

We have had a tough feeding journey with our little girl since birth. She feeds ok as she will always finish a bottle and has remained on the 50th centile.
However she never seems to be fully content, always grunting, groaning & unsettled. As she has got a bit older (now 15 weeks) she does have her happy smiley playing periods. She is generally uncomfortable.
We have spent thousands on bottles, teats, TT divided, osteopath, different formulas (including non dairy).
She is on BioGaga - was thinking of trying her on Nannycare goat formula as I’ve read it’s a lot easier to digest & only contains A2 proteins.

@Ojtx did you try the nannycare; my little one sounds exactly like yours and I'm considering switching her. She's currently on Aptamil Pepti but I really don't think she has CMPA as it's made no difference at all.

Have you had TT divided as well then @Exhaustedmummy2024? Wink

Yep, done it all 😩

I do feel for you as I had one with TT. The next one arrived without TT and was a dream in comparison.

I also feel for you if they have CMPA. I have it and it can be very painful.

Pepti still contains dairy and for sensitive babies you won't see improvements until all dairy is removed. You would need to try an amino acid formula such as neocate or alfamino to rule out a dairy allergy.

90% of babies that are allergic to cows milk proteins are also allergic to other mammalian milks so this is something to consider too.

I'm one of the 90%. The thought of Goats Milk makes me shudder at the thought of havoc it would cause if I drank that.

Hi, no we didn’t try it. We added carobel to her cow & gate formula as a trial and error and it seemed to be the answer to all our problems!

My daughter who is now seven, thrived on Nanny care. My daughter has a diary intolerance, she failed to thrieve as a baby, i was in and out of hospital with her, she was prescribed medicated formula which didn't agree with her, I ended up taking her to an osteopath and he recommended Nanny care, it was a lifesaver. My baby was finally happy and contented. She is a healthy and happy 7 year old today. I would recommend trying it. It worked for her.

Thanks for your reply. We have carabel to try from GP but have been put off from trying it. Did you little one have any other symptoms of anything?

Babies aren’t supposed to finish bottles. They should decide when to stop, if they finish the bottle you should offer more milk.

Some dairy free formulas just have the dairy broken down rather than been fully dairy free. There is a really good cmpa facebook group.
