DD is 15 weeks and exclusively BF. She's very sicky, some feeds only brings up a bit, but often seems to bring up the whole lot, even an hour or more after she's fed. It's not projectile but loads of it. She seems to get unhappy just before being sick as well, she gets wriggly and antsy and so I pick her up and then she's pretty soon sick all over me. she's big and on the 75th centile so obviously not suffering in terms of weight gain, but also feeding around 4 times a night at the moment. Is she feeding more at night to make up for what she's losing in the day? any suggestions of what I can do?

I had a similar problem with my DS around this time. My solution seemed to be changing my diet- I cut out dairy and anything with caffeine. Some people have since told me this is a load of old crap and wouldn't make any difference but it seemed to to me! He was definitely sick again one time I indulged in a yoghurt drink!

For us, the problem didn't last and my DS is now 6mo and I consume dairy again in small amounts- he has also eaten cheese with no after effects.

4 feeds in the night sounds quite normal to me, their night feeds are unpredictable. It may be if she keeps food down in the day she'll feed less at night, but don't count on it!

1 more thought- is she getting very windy during feeds? If she starts wriggling during a feed, try taking her off and winding for a bit before continuing. Might help??

If she's feeding pretty frequently, could she be comfort sucking and thereby drinking more than she needs and getting rid of the excess by chucking it up?

Or it could be wind as yetihed says - heres a winding resource.

thanks both. she's definitely a windy baby, you're right probably need to wind her during a feed and put her back on rather than giving up when she wriggles and fights the wind. The frequent night feeds are really wiping me out at the moment but everything I read on MN seems to indicate that 4-5 months is a bad time so better just grit my teeth and get through it somehow..
