Nursing strike with biting?

My son is 7 1/2 months old and has been combination fed since birth, he was a very hungry baby and I had supply issues due to my thyroid. Fortunately he's always been very good at feeding from the breast, always insisting on it really, otherwise I don't think I would have made it this long with it! But all of a sudden he's not interested, when he does go to feed he instead bites down and tugs, but he'll happily drink down a whole bottle without biting it 🤷
He's got his second tooth coming through so I suppose it's a nursing strike due to teething? And he's just decided that biting is a good way to say no? The little darling...
But I'd really appreciate anyone else's thoughts, advice on how to overcome this issue, or stories of hope!
At the moment I do hiss a bit reactively when he bites, I can't help it, but I can't figure out whether to say 'no biting' or ignore it because there seems to be advice to do both. He doesn't seem bothered by either reaction 🤷
I absolutely love breastfeeding and have worked so hard at it, I'd hate to lose it 😭 he's also nursed to sleep so this is massively effecting that as well!

My only advice would be to give one of the BFing Helplines a call this morning and talk to a BFC Flowers
