I have the first hearing for a child arrangements order coming up. The hearing is scheduled for 10am.

My daughter is 9 months old. She will nibble on finger foods and sometimes she will drink a couple of sips of water from a cup. She’s only eating tiny portion sizes, a fraction of what her brother was eating at that age. She won’t let anyone spoon feed her and she never drinks more than a few sips from a cup. She definitely won’t drink from a bottle. She normally goes about 2 hours between breastfeeds.

Do you think that she will be OK if I leave her and her brother with a family member while I am in court?

Or otherwise will she be allowed into the court waiting room, if I can arrange someone to look after her whilst I am in the courtroom? She is generally a quiet baby anyway. But then I need to find a second person to look after her brother, who likes screaming, jumping on chairs and throwing food. and definitely won’t be welcome in the courthouse.

She'll be just fine. Give her whatever she'll eat, even if it's puffs or something you otherwise wouldn't offer a lot of. Worst case scenario she'll be a bit grouchy, but she'll probably just feed a lot when you're back/that night.
