Crying after breastfeeding.

My 4.5week old son always cries after breastfeeding and I don’t know why. He’s never seems content which makes me sad.
He feeds well, has good nappy output and is putting weight on.
He feeds for a good amount of time and then unlatches. If he’s crying I will offer him the breast multiple more times which he has never refused to latch. When I relatch he often just unlatches within a minute often in frustration or just uses me for comfort to fall into a shallow sleep then wakes us and cries.

The maximum awake time not crying is 3-5 minutes but often he starts crying within a minute.

When I burp him he often brings up some milk, he is very gassy and poops are explosive, so have started infacol today.

We introduced a dummy as he was so difficult to settle without.

Mentally I struggle with the amount of time he is on and off the breast, especially when I have to relatch every minute or so.

shouldn’t he have time where he is full and content and can just sit or lay happily without a dummy before we rock him to sleep?

any advice?

See what the times of the day are when fussing. Colic usually in evenings. Properly burp and pat his back. Prop him up a bit to help with digestion. Watch what you eat. Broccoli and cabbage can add wind, and some react to other things.

He will be ok in a few weeks they all cry so much at this age! Good idea with the dummy

My baby mostly doesn’t need burping off the boob but if he keeps taking himself off but seems to want I have realised is a sign for him he needs burping!

That sounds really hard. I would see if you can get your latch checked in person by someone qualified. As coming off frequently sounds like he might not have a good latch. That could.mean he isn't getting a full feed which is upsetting his tummy.
