Hi
ive a 7 and a half month old who’s had reflux since 8 weeks and wouldn’t take her bottle since 2 months.
thw past few months she’s had a rash at the back of her arm and legs and I thought it was from sweat and her being chunky but turns out it’s actually eczema… could she have cmpa and it was missed?

Sounds very likely. The I'm sure you already know but the only way to diagnosis CMPA is to go DF and see if the symptoms clear up. I found reading this articlee* before speaking to the GP was helpful.

If she had cma she would have had a strong reaction when you started weaning her, have you given any yogurts, cheese or milk in cereal? These forms of dairy would have given a much stronger reaction than in formula. There would likely have been a strong GI reaction and rash all over face and not just in skin folds.

Not necessarily. If her reaction is non-Ige, like mine, she may never get a rash or eczema.

Yes even with non-ige, she's never had an elimination period, and yougrt milk and cheese are the second half of the milk ladder, so highly reactive.
With just reflux and recent rash in skin folds when formula fed from birth (assuming as she said she wouldn't take a bottle) I'd say it's likely not linked. CMA would be diagnosed on a cluster of symptoms and not 2 4-5 months apart
CMA is my area of work
