Mam bottles are a nightmare? Reflux and uncomfortable feeding :(

They seem to work well for most and my boy has always struggled with wind and sick so I got these after stopping breastfeeding at 5 weeks.. he's now 4 months and been up and down with feeding due to suspected CMPA and reflux. He has had times when feeding really well but it's gone backwards, again!
Issue with the mam bottles is I'm constantly having to tip them up as the milk just pours out for a while until it drips, the problem is he likes a warm bottle so when I put it down to burp him it's like the pressure builds up again and have to tip it til it stops pouring again, it's just a faff!
Lately he has been really fussing and letting the teat slip out his mouth, chomping on it, struggle to get his wind up so more sick.. he dribbles loads too. I know this sounds like the flow is too fast but he's been on size 2 for a while now and was fine to begin with after he got used to them, so I thought maybe he needs a faster flow but the size 3 literally just pours out for ages, it does eventually drip but by the time I give it to him it's pouring again and chokes him! He's just not at all happy when feeding and I don't know what to do.
I've tried dr browns, tommee tippee and ones that came with my pump but he doesn't seem to like the shape of the teats at all so I've stuck with mam but I'm getting so stressed with it :(
We thought it had all improved so much then he started spitting up a lot again after he had his second lot of jabs 3 weeks ago, and it's just gone downhill from there.. I can see him losing suction and taking in so much air/dribbling milk, I don't know if it's bottle aversion? As he has fed ok before. And the issue with the bottles spraying won't be helping plus he doesn't seem happy with size 2 or 3 now!

Have you tried a thickener? Is he on special formula? The thickener is a great start with reflux for holding down the milk.

The absolute cheap as chips Sterifeed bottles and teats on Amazon are what NICU advised we used for ours. It might not work but at least it’s not an hugely expensive mistake if it doesn’t.

Lansinoh bottles are with a go as they're just so different to all the others x

@ballybean I'm going to ask about this on Tuesday (more jabs). He is on hypoallergenic formula yes, it's thin so I think that might could be the issue with the warm bottles and shooting out so much. I don't think he has true reflux as he was fine a few weeks ago and anything I give him like gaviscon gives him wind the other end and bad belly/straining so I'm stuck with next steps

How tight are you screwing the top on? I found if I over tightened the bottles they did this

I don't screw the top or bottom tight. I think it's more to do with his milk being thin and warm bottles. They don't really do it if it's cold but he doesn't like it cold agh

Have you tried carobel in the milk to thicken it? How do you make the bottles, is it with boiling water and that's why the bottles warm?

Not yet but I'm going to ask about it on Tuesday (jabs) it's last resort giving him anything because his tummy is so sensitive it might fix one issue and cause another (he had bad wind and straining all the time and gets this with gaviscon)

We don't put boiling water straight in the bottles no, it's either out of a flask or kettle cooled to between 50-60. Bit different to other formula as its amino acid (neocate lcp) so can't add too hot water. We then cool further in a jug of cold water til it's just a bit warm on wrist rather than body temp otherwise half way through the bottle it's cold and he literally makes a gag noise and spits out
