Struggling with bottle feeding

We have bottle fed our little girl (3 months) from the beginning , and every time we seem to get to grips with it, something changes. And it’s actually causing me a lot of frustration and upset. No one talks about the difficulties there are with bottle feeding.
We have tried different bottles, teets, temperatures, we used infacol for a while, much to the disappointment of our health visitor…. I’ve kept her sitting up etc etc etc etc.
but at the moment she is screaming in hunger. I try changing her, playing etc and she just wants the bottle. I give it to her and she pulls her head away, then screams for more, and this goes on and on until she finishes the bottle, but then she’s sick. So she’s clearly over feeding? But I don’t know how to not over feed her if she’s screaming for more! She is currently having 5oz. And is often hungry every hour. I don’t want to try increasing her to 6oz if she’s being sick every time she feeds.
when I say being sick I mean she brings up about a tablespoon of milk back up.
any advice, or is it just going to be a miserable experience every time I have to feed my baby

Maybe visit your gp? My first was very sicky- to the extent I always had a spare top for me in his baby bag as he would always cover me in sick! Eventually I went to the dr who prescribed gaviscon. If you feel something is wrong ask your gp. Health visitors are very judgey and usually unhelpful!

Which formula is LO on @Morgan68? It sounds as though you're both having a miserable time. Have you tried one of the Comfort Milks yet?

I give it to her and she pulls her head away, then screams for more, and this goes on and on until she finishes the bottle, but then she’s sick.

Are you pausing to burp her during a bottle? Give a burp opportunity (patting back over your shoulder) every 30ml or so.

Babies scream for feeding when they're uncomfortable as well as for hunger. It really sounds to me like your LO has trapped wind

Hi, we are experiencing something similar, all of a sudden our girl has started screaming at the start of a bottle feed, and pulling away. Her cues are clear, but she gives no time to respond. It is getting stressful for all of us. Eventually she will latch and start feeding normally, after which it is all OK. Interestingly at night when she is drowsy she is fine, so it must be something psychological? How do we return to happy stress free feeding?

First off I’m really sorry you are going through this, you can tell how frustrated I was by this post. Our little one is now 10 months and this feels like a distant memory so please be reassured it won’t be forever.
Unfortunately, she is just a gassy baby, even now she is fully crawling and eating solids. We find we still need to give her infacol some nights, BUT her bottle feeding is so so much better, and we have lovely bottle feeds and cuddles before bed.
We found the MAM bottles with the slowest teet the best for her. And starting to feed her before she was hungry, because when they cry they are taking in more air resulting in more gas.
Have you tried changing formula? It’s the one thing we didn’t try, but looking back we probably should have.
